Its the weekend… I really don’t feel like sleeping cos once you sleep, the next moment its the next day! And before you know, weekends are over. =P So I am like rotting away listening to bossa nova music in my aged armchair with peeling leather. My sis is back from her long Japan vacation. She bought me a Agnes B spring/summer 2010 tee. =] Love the design, but the cutting is no longer the same as the old slim fitted japan cutting ones that is still my favourite piece of tee in my wardrobe. Can weekends be longer??? Lols… Not that I dread work, just that I hope that I can have more time for myself. Its actually a dilemma. On one hand, I promise myself that I have to deliver good work (therefore, need to spend alot of time ensuring that work is good) but on the other hand, you just wished you had more time to do your own things. So yeah. Nevertheless, I hope that I can deliver much better work than what I have been delivering. =] Still lots of room for improvement.

It has been a busy week for me. Glad that it is finally “over”. Lols… Inverted commas cos its not over yet but I am forced to move on already. =P It has been a meaningful week for me too, not that CNY was awesome but I had a 100% winning streak in the forex market after the CNY holidays. =] But prudent me didn’t invested much, so profit was like not alot. But still its money!! Lols. =]

CNY is indeed a long and well deserve break from the audit peak period. =] It has been by far the best CNY ever in my life cos there is no need to visit relatives who are still fighting over things that don’t belong to them in the first place. Fighting over inheritances isn’t just happening in HK dramas… Its real! Things get ugly when people start to scramble for money that isn’t theirs in the first place. So yeah… I am glad that this CNY, I am not seeing money faces who carries a LV bag to visiting shouting “Hey, I’ve got the latest LV bag!!”. Get a life, what’s the big deal with your ONE LV when other people like my sis has 10 in her wardrobe and 2 in the store room waiting to be thrown away. Lols. Yea… the avid fans of my blog will see my annual “money face” entry on CNY. CNY isn’t a joyous occassion for me every year. But this year I am the happiest. For one no need to see money faces and for two … … I am just happy about something… =]

Its finally the end of the week. =] I have been quite glad with my work in my current engagement. Though there are lots of confusing accounts and cumbersome adjustments and reversals that makes audit work tedious for us, I have to say that I landed in a job which challenges my eye for details and also serves as an express revision of my accounting fundamentals – double entries. I realized that ever since I left school, double entries became greek to me. I forgot about all those double entries. But this engagement revived my passion for double entries. Lols. I found many wrong entries in the client’s books. And I must say I am working under a good senior. =] Finally, I realized it isn’t a bad thing to be pushed out of some job to another job. There are always pleasant surprises in life. =]

Its the second day of 2010! Aren’t we all perky and energized for this new year ahead? =]

There are sales everywhere in town. Zara has been turned into a pasar malam overnight. Pull and bear turned into a dimly lit slums with people rampaging for size S when there is only size m and l left. Topman is a little subtle at the entrance but scary as you approach the changing room and cashier when you are greeted with a long queue of people holding on to colourful pieces of clothes eagerly waiting to try those clothes on or to pay for their favourite pieces at a gaint discount. Cotton on with tens and twenties of aunties and teenagers searching for the what seems like the cheapest tees and tank top in town. Lols…

Anyways, I bought two pieces of Topman Limited Edition clothes weeks ago. I have always adored Topman Limited Editions as they look so high street fashion. So now that my sis has discount vouchers which makes Topman Limited Editions cheaper, I have decided to buy. But oh boy… I love the design but hate the quality. I was in a Topman Limited Edition sheer hoody yesterday. I love the design as it’s design is perfect for me to do layering. But all it takes is one day for the hoody to go out of shape. The material is bad bad bad. Lols… In the beginning of the day, it was so slim cut and fitted. The sleeves were nice enuff to be rolled up nicely till the elbow without slipping off. I though wow, the design is damn good. As the hours pass, the sleeve got out of shape. and I had to constantly push it up. Argh. Hell of a pain in the arse. I have another singlet from Topman Limited. Let’s hope it doesn’t go out of shape like how the hoody does. Lols… Now that I have tried Topman Limited, I would say that those who buy it is buying the design and not the apparel itself. It has really lousy quality which makes it all overpriced. Lols… Nevertheless, I still adore the designs from the Topman Limited line.

I am looking out for simple white deck shoes or otherwise boat shoes. When I first noticed it, I thought that it was fugly. But as it gained popularity, I discovered the beauty of it when it is matched with the right outfit. =] I WANT ONE!! There was one rather nice one in a shop called Edit in ION. But there weren’t anymore sizes left! How disappointing!! =/

My guess tote bag is breaking down big time. Lols… Its my fav bag. But it seems like it is overworking and is dying soon… =[ I need a new bag!!

Alright! Kiss goodbye to 2009 and welcome 2010 with open arms! Wee~ Happy 2010!

2010 marks a new beginning. All year passed by like this again. 2009 have been an memorable year with lots of changes in my life of which one of the biggest change is moving from student life to working life. So what’s the big difference? The big difference is working life makes life = work and work = life while being student just meant studying for exams when exams are near with the balance free time slacking, rotting and having all the time in the world to lead a life of your own.

While working life means work = life and life = work to me, I never find work dreadful even when I have to go back on a Saturday. Like what me and Charlene have discussed, when you cannot finish your work you jolly well stay to finish it up. Both of us feel that its just another job? So I never felt disgruntled about staying late or whatsoever. I feel that auditing is an very interesting experience as you meet different clients who have vastly different working styles and levels of professionalism. Similarly, different engagement teams have different cultures. Some team lead micro manage while others simply do not bother about you until you shout for help. Some teams are very professional while some teams are just incompetent.

Well, I certainly hope that after my two long engagements that concurrently ends on end Feb 2010, my next long bank engagement coming up in March 2010 will be a better experience. The bank engagement will last for 3 months until June when I will undertake the shittiest engagement ever where accounts are in a mess. Hopefully I get pulled out of it to do half year review for JB. Pray hard. Lols… I am left with two weeks in July for leave planning. No leave for me in 2010 until July. Lols…

Alright! Once again hope that everyone has a great year ahead…

Hello! Haha… I haven’t blogged for ages… Reason being blogger sucks. Whenever I want to blog it loads a cranky screen with lots of codes like as though it is the MSDos era... So ya... That explains the lack of posts. Lols.

Been working for one month already. Time flies. I am beginning to like my job. I don’t know why. But I really don’t mind staying late to work. =] Many of my friends don't like working and they want to be a student again. But to me... I don't even have that thought. I love working. Maybe its the nature of the job that makes me feel so different towards working. I get to interact with alot of people at work and I like doing that. It builds a person's character.

But the sad thing is I have lost 3kg! Oh mans. So I decided that I shouldn't slack anymore. I should go to the gym more often. Do I have the time? Yes I do. All it takes is some effort and time management. The gym opens from 7am to 11pm on weekdays. So let's say its a gym day, I will knock off at 9pm and go to gym. Don't need to travel mehz?? Haha... Need! But lucky me, my engagements are all either in raffles place or harbourfront all the way until July next year. So given that, I upgraded my true fitness membership so that I can access all True Fitness gyms. Wee~ I just went to the suntec outlet today. Its so big. And I went for a swim. The swimmng pool at suntec is so serene. No rowdy kids running around screaming and shouting. Neither will there be lots of people swimming in opposite directions as you and result in head on collisions when you are swimming at full speed and didn't notice anyone from the opposite direction.

Anyways, last week, I bought an awesome looking mouse. Its called the soap mouse. Haha… I bought it cos I needed to use it when I am using my company’s laptop at client’s place. So yeah… Its awesome! See the picture of it below. =]

Okie… I am into the second week of my job… I am on Julius Baer job now and next week I will return for training until next next thursday. =] Lots to learn and I am glad that I am offered jobs that give me very good exposures and widen my horizons for my view on the banking and finance industry. Haha... Avid readers of my blog... Thanks for the continued support... I am alive and kicking after my first two days of work. Okie not realy work... It was orientation. Presentations after presentations. Today I had unit outing at turf city. Haha... Had dim sum at Ah Yat (too bad no abalones) and then we proceeded to play paintball. Paintball is hell FUN!! Its expensive to play but I got to play two rounds for free! Its just uber fun! You guys should try it one day! =]

After the paintball game we proceeded to Grand Copthorne hotel for a welcome dinner with the partner and a few managers from the unit. Erms... Takeaway from the conversation tonight amongst the new associates, partner and managers is its never a level playing ground. Some people are just jack of all trades with vibrant lifes out there and they really have so much to share. On the other hand, some just practically had nothing to share. Fortunately, I am somewhere in between these two. I don't know if wine has a woody flavour or whether zouk is better than butter BUT I do have interests that at least were decent enough for me to share and garner responses. Fierce competition at work is coming my way but I remain optimistic as I seemed to be plotted on MANY jobs as opposed to ONLY ONE job or even NONE at all. Some seniors and managers were like excited to know me because they claimed that they always see my name and as soon as I mention my name they were like "OHHH... you are LIN Zhanyi! You are following me on one of my jobs." It is really pleasant to know that your name has been seen by many people even before you started work but I will be real busy once my training ends. =/

Clumsy me just slipped and fell in the toilet… “-_- Its okie if I only fell… The sad thing is I fell and my face had to hit the sharp corner (okie, not really sharp) and my stupid skin got scratched by the sharp corner. “-_- Now I’ve got a big ugly wound on my face. Aww… Okie not one but two! One big one small! Sad case. I am disfigured. Oh man… Good thing is those wounds are not very deep… Its just a surface scratch. I hope it recovers like at the speed of light. =[ I feel so ugly now… Sighs… Why must this happen before I start my full time job? Let’s hope its not a bad omen ya. Sighs… Really down on my luck these days. Sad! Oh well, so some brainless girl tell me to stop being vain… just stop being vain… Well… imagine your boyfriend got disfigured… I see you will tell him aiya stop being vain anot… I am standing here to see… I see… Anyways, the girl got no boyfriend… so don’t think she bother about people’s feelings. I guess some people are just not sensitive and they totally have no EQ. While I always believe that everyone should speak their minds, there are some things that are just not appropriate to say at certain times. While you think that I am always vain (which I admit) you don’t have to do this to me when I am like temporarily disfigured. Seriously… Anyways, I hope those humongous wounds will just become less obvious tomorrow when I wake up… Haha… If not… well… I guess I have to live with it… Though I feel that its really annoying and it stunts my confidence since I am already not born handsome.

Okies… Havn’t been blogging… haha… Not that there are many avid readers here like how it used to be… Haha… Okies… Recently, I have very bad skin and I decided to try out some new skincare products by Murad. Haha… I started off with their Acne Starter Kit and it works really well. I started to gain interest in their products and soon I found the perfect combination of their products that really works for my skin. Okie, my skin is very bad la… In saying that it works, it means it is clearing up my severe acne conditions and making my skin less oily (although its still very oily). =] Their products have this step 1, step 2 and step 3 labels… Which is quite interesting… And their product packaging rocks… Its so minimalistic, so my style. Oh anyhows, here are the products that I really heart! Energizing Pomegranate Cleanser, Clarifying Toner, Exfoliating Acne Treatment Gel and Sensitive Skin Soothing Serum. Of all, the sensitive skin soothing serum is my favorite because it really helps to calm the skin like after 5 minutes of application. Its that miraculous. Haha… I always suffer from huge inflammations due to acne conditions and this serum really helps to take away the inflammation and redness within minutes! Haha… As for the others, when combined they clear out my acne real fast… =]

I just finished watching The Leap Years. Its hell of a good movie. Haven’t watched a good movie like this one before for a long time already. Haha… Yeah… People who knows me well will know that I prefer watching such movies as opposed to blockbusters. Yeah… And some call me weird… I am not… I am just someone who appreciates different things from the general public. Anyways, I love one of the lines the character Jeremy said in the movie:

Well, I totally agree. And I am the brave one who is waiting for the right one to come along. I believe I have told some of my friends something along these lines before whenever they urge me to jus grab any girls that comes along. I am not going to love someone for the sake of being with someone just because I am scared of being alone. No… haha… When I love someone, this someone is the right one and I am 100% sure that this someone is the right one. =] I have to repeat myself… The Leap Years is really a very nice movie. =] And I love the music played in the movie. Project runway is finally backs… Haha… I am watching season 6 now. Wee~ My favourite reality TV show. =] Nice sunny day, but I guess I should avoid swimming until my skin gets better. Recently, I have seriously bad skin and ridiculously frequent outbreaks. Am using Murad skin care which has received good reviews on helping to clear acne. Some of its products are often featured in Mens Lifestyle magazine. =] Recently, reviews on its treat and conceal stick is featured in ARENA. Working fine now… My skin is clearing up slowly. =] Give it a month or two and I will be going out with visibly clearer skin. Wee~

Updates on my Ugly Dolls action figure collection… Haha… I have just bought a light blue Babo the other day. Now, I have a dark blue Ice-bat, green Ox and a light blue Babo. =] Collecting designer vinyl toys can get addictive. You just keep wanting to buy every single one in the collection to keep. Haha…

Its a sunny Saturday… Haven’t been exercising recently… haha… Due to laziness. Next week I must not be so lazy already. Go to gym every other day and go for swim when there is sun. Actually, I feel like going to swim today but then later I am going out to meet my frens so I am kinda lazy to go swim and come back get changed and go out again. Its damn mafan. How I wish I live in a condo with a swimming pool downstairs. Then I can go down to swim anytime and come back in time to bath and change. Haha…

Okies, recently David and Sun-Min has brought their cute and addictive Ugly Dolls back to vinyl form! These vinyl form Ugly Dolls are called Ugly Dolls action figure collection 1 consisting of 6 different characters (Wage, Babo, Ice-Bat, Ox, Wedgehead and Jeero) with two colourways each. They are now retailing at all Action City stores and Play Imaginative for $11.95 each. Really love these action figures though I don’t really like the all time favourite designer plushes. The action figures are cute and high quality. So yeah… I want to collect them all. =] So far I have gotten the Dark Blue Ice-Bat and the Green Ox. =]

Studying trends and patterns otherwise called technical analysis works sometimes but not most of the time. My 1 month plus experience in investing so far using technical analysis led to 20 wins (> 60% profit), 6 losses. 1 loss due to overconfidence bias. Hur hur… Never thought that the crap in Scotts can be applied right? Its damn true. That particular loss (quite a heavy one) was due to my overconfidence that I can make more than 60% profit because I had 10 wins in a roll. But yet there was unprecedented volatility suddenly resulting in loss. Never undermine what we learn in NTU okie? Haha… But then again, there is a certain degree of truth in technical analysis which really violates the principles of EMH. Haha… The market is damn volatile now… Don’t dare to buy or short sell yet… =[ Means no income… “-_-

All the Ah Ma thought of was the granddaughter! She wanted to go home not because she was afraid of being lost but she was afraid that the granddaughter will starve. OMG! After watching this video, I begin to understand that sometimes we really shouldn’t take our loved ones for granted. Sometimes, our loved ones think all for us but yet we only thought of ourselves disregarding how the former’s mind has been all thinking for us. Like in this video, all the granddaughter thought was she is hungry but she didn’t appreciate that the Ah Ma was so scared that she starve and rushed to buy her her favorite chicken rice when she thought that the rice cooker was spoilt.

And so recently my mum changed a tap in the kitchen and she has been complaining non stop. She says that the new tap connects to some electricity source and when ever we turn on the tap to the red side, electricity will be consumed. I asked her where is the connection… She showed me… Its like a water pipe that connects to the water heater. I told her that its a water pipe and there won’t be any wire inside to like consume your electricity every time you on the tap. She refuse to believe me… She says that there is electricity connection INSIDE the water pipe. Mind you… water get into the water pipe. How is it possible that there is electricity wired connection INSIDE the water pipe? The only reason why the water is hot when we on the tap is because the water heater heats up water and hot water come in from there to the tap! So water coming out from the tap is warm. Nothing gets into her head. She is nuts… I hate it when people don’t listen to me. Haha… People who do project with me being the leader, will understand how assertive I am. When I say something, I have a point there and you jolly well listen and understand from my point of view. Well not that you can’t object but if you object, it better be a good reason and on top of that convince me not just by words but by action. My mum is going crazy again. She complain that I never ask this and that when the person came to change the tap. Then I asked her what do you mean by this and that? A tap is a tap… Ask what? She couldn’t answer and she said something lame… You never ask the person where is the invoice for buying this tap. Please people who is in this industry will buy from their supplier in bulk so that they get bulk discount and when they sell the tap to you they sell at the original price so that they profit a little. Do you think people like them jus profit from your miserable servicing fees that doesn’t even exceed $50 for each servicing session? So… why would they have a single invoice for a single tap? Whatever… Its like a pain in the ass! I am damned pissed now. I don’t like dealing with people who are stupid and brainless. Period. Feel like singing this song now... haha...

Recently, 蕭敬騰 released his new album 王妃!! Okie, not really recently but for quite some time already. But I only got to hear his songs today. One of my favourite from his new album is 我不會愛. This song is a marked improvement from his already very nice sentiment song from his previous album 原谅我. Reason being this new song has more emphasis on 口气 that it really makes your hair stand while listening to it. Of course you must be able to appreciate the lyrics first. Haha… In fact, all his sentiment songs in this album had so much more emphasis on 口气 than his sentiment songs in his previous album. Really a very good album. I seldom buy albums but I am buying this album to keep. The songs has nice 曲 and 词. Thumbs up! Okie… the song I like… 我不會愛!

La la la… I am bored… So here I am blogging again. My one and a half months break has started since last week. Haha… So far so good. I have been spending time to really slack, rest and relax. Enjoying every carefree moments, going out to do just what I want to do anytime. Today I had a gym session with a Jeremie one of the true fitness trainer. The full body workout was tiring but its really good. =] Hvn’t had a fulfilling workout like that for a long time already.

Yesterday, I went to Vivo to catch Where got Ghost. Haha… The show is a 2.5/5. It is funny, but the storyline isn’t really there. There was a serious attempt to put a meaning to each of the three stories and also attempts to make the show scary at certain point, but I guess it is not working for most people. Anyhows, ytd I bought a cap from pull and bear and am loving it to bits. Hahaha… I really love the cap. Now I will wear this out whenever I am lazy to style my hair. =]

La la la… Its a rainy friday… I am slacking at home while the rest are still slogging in office. Haha… Have been watching the EUR/USD prices… Yawnz… Hope that the USD will strengthen against the EUR like real soon so that my sell trades will profit more. Bored… I wanted to go swimming but suddenly it rained. I am stucked at home… Lazy to even go out. B-O-R-E-D!! But then again… next time when I start working, there wouldn’t be time for me to feel bored anymore. So I am quite glad I get to feel bored now. Haha…

Anyways, I finally bought my Samsung Jet. Wohoo~ Hahaha… Love the phone. I especially like the AMOLED 16M colours screen. Heart the design too. Only downside of this phone is it lacks a operating system. That’s why Samsung came out with the Omnia II which has the exact same design as Samsung Jet but has a Windows mobile OS. But then again… I wouldn’t pay another few hundred just for the operating system at the expense of a lousier AMOLED 65k colours screen. Haha… So thats it… Have a great day ahead… =]

Yesterday was my last day in NCS! My boss treated me to Hei Sei Hui in Vivo and we went drinking at St James yesterday. Besides treats from bosses the day before yesterday and yesterday, I got gifts!! =] The billing team gave me a card holder, keychain set and a card full of wishes for my future endeavors. =] The assistant accountant from GL team gave me a branded shirt. =] I didn’t expect that I will get gifts and treats as I am just a part-timer. I really like the people in NCS not cos they buy gifts and treat me to meals but because of their working styles and personality and professionalism. Anyways, for ignorant people out there, NCS is part of the group of companies from Singtel. So, its really quite a big company that have subsidiaries in other parts of Asia. So… I am not working part time in some lousy temp place. Haha… The main project that I have been working on in the company is really a good experience. System migration is no joke. Haha… Its still not 100% complete but its time for me to leave.

I will be taking a 1 and a half months long break from now on. Haha… Time to relax before I have no chance to do so. Haha… Hmmz… What should I do??? I think its time for me to hit the gyms more often. =] I am shrinking ever since I started working. Haha… Okies… Nothing to blog liaoz… Its a bo liao Saturday. La la la…

Okies… It feels like it has been a long time ever since I blog but in actual fact erms… I am still a frequent blogger. Haha…

Anyways, I started trading in the FOREX market by starting a mini account with a brokerage based in UK on Monday. =] I am glad to say that I am profiting a little from this little investment. I deposited 50USD on Monday and used 20USD to buy EUR on the same day. Haha… I know its like a really really small investment but at the expiration of this trade (which is today), my profit is 12USD. Can you imagine how much I could have profit if I bought more! The HPR is 60%!! Anyways, this was so unexpected. The EUR/USD plunged ever since I bought on Monday. I was skeptical of my investment yesterday and thought that it was a sheer loss already and the EUR/USD will continue to plunge and not rise above the rate I locked in as expected. This morning, I was presently surprised that the EUR/USD was showing a upward trend and that my expectation could be right even though my investment was still a loss. And so at night when I logged in, I was glad to see that profits are rolling in. Hahaha… Okie okie… its not alot its not alot. I know of friends who are earning thousands with funds, trusts etc. But it is a good beginning to me. =]

And so its friday… Everyone loves friday… Some shout TGIF!!! Haha… Yeah… I love fridays as it marks the end of the week. Next friday, I will be officially ending my stint in NCS. Well, I have mixed feelings about leaving this fantastic company. For one I feel happy that I can finally take a long break to rest and relax before I start my perm job in Oct. On the other hand, I feel sad leaving the company as I love the people, the culture and the working environment (even though there are politics, but, which company don’t have politics right?). I must say that all the bosses in the department treat me very well and they are always ready to teach me things be it technical stuffs, pr skills, or life. Really appreciate the guidance from them these days, telling me what to expect in my audit job next time, telling me about certain aspects of life etc. etc., eating lunch together… =]

Next Friday I am going out with my boss after work. I was supposed to meet jh, lp and mindy for dinner. But I had no choice but to reject my initial appointment as I think its like once in a lifetime to have a farewell celebration like that on next Friday. When I agreed to the appointment, I forgotten that its my last day next Friday and that there is bound to be a farewell celebration at night for me. So ya… Its my fault… All I can say is jh, lp and mindy SORRY, we can always meet another time right?

Well, some people are rather unhappy about me always being busy and unable to meet. And so some say “ okie lo..postpone indefinitely then” So what can I do? You want to meet on Friday you only tell me on Wednesday. Do you think I can make it? I can’t push away my initial appointment wad. I plan my stuff ahead. Whoever asks me out first gets the priority. And so… you will think… now you are pushing us away to meet your boss. Well, that’s different. I guess some people will never understand. But well, I can only say sorry, sorry and very sorry. I am someone who plans ahead, but sometimes there are things that I have to put in my priority. Everyone prioritize. If you got a farewell party organized by your boss and you have a gathering with your friends (which can easily be held some other time) which will you choose?

Oh well, I plan ahead. Its the weekends and I want to enjoy… I always plan to go out with friends. So if this friend cannot make it, look for another one… I plan one week in advance. So… its not that I am always busy with my own activities… I look for my own activities early and if you are late then we can always arrange to meet another time… I am not saying its your fault but rather its nobody’s fault. I mean what’s the point of getting yourself unhappy and frustrated when you can’t go out? Look for another program la. What’s the problem? Seriously… Worst come to worst… if there is no activities, stay at home la… Go home on a Friday night and rest. What’s wrong with recuperating at home on a weekend? And so some say you will never understand… Well, I guess is you don’t understand yourself and you don’t plan and manage your own time properly yourself. Nothing is impossible in life. If you do not even understand and have confidence in yourself then everything will not go smoothly for you be it work or personal life. If you do not know how to manage your time well yourself, nobody will have time for you. Ah well… Some people just… I also don’t know how to say la…

To wrap up this entry, I shall say life is short, treasure it by staying happy… And to stay happy, its a matter of YOU choosing to be happy or sad. That’s all… Time to sleep. Good night peeps… =]

It seems like I haven’t blogged in ages. Haha… But its only barely a week that I didn’t blog. I am still working part time in my internship company though I was supposed to end on 31 July. They extended my contract for two more weeks. So ya.. why not? After these next week, I will be damn free again while others are already slogging at their full time jobs.

I know that in my previous post, I talked about saving money and to stop spending but crazy 50% sales are just irresistible! I bought a shirt from FOX on Saturday and another shirt from Domanchi on Sunday. OMG… I signed up for a one year gym membership with True Fitness as well. So ya. I haven’t visited the gym yet. I should be going soon during the weekends. Its a bit hard for me to go on weekdays as there is work. Haha… I signed up because the monthly fees were really cheap considering the package. I can join the numerous classes, train with a trainer, personal locker and access to many many things in the gym. I think for the price its worth it. I know that Cali offers a cheaper monthly rate but it is not inclusive of many things worz… Haha… So I just signed up. =]

Anyways, I went to collect my the $10 studio photos taken at NTU on the convocation day from pictureME in Suntec yesterday. Haha… I really cannot smile showing my teeth. Its FUGLY. Hahaha… Okies… I shall post the photos here for everyone to see see. Haha… You might notice that the right hand corner of the photo has faded because yesterday my Dad went to take the photos with wet hands and viola! water got on the photo and the colour wore off. Best! I hate it when my Dad touches my things with wet hands. &**(^#$$^%#* Anyways… ya… the photos with faded corner… “-_-

Today after work, I took the company bus back to Bedok. I went to Watsons to look for moisturizer that can save my fast drying up arms and legs due to long hours of exposure of air con room. Haha… How I wish my face can dry up as well but it jus gets oilier. Sighs… Oh anyways, that is not the main point of this post. The main point is I saw some interestingly named skincare products.

The brand of this interesting products is Formula 10.0.6. Their cleansers are called best face forward and so totally clean. They have a mattifying moisturizer called seriously shine free. A oil control mud mask called no time to shine. Haha... Don’t you think the names are so straight forward but yet creative and interesting. It catches my attention and make me wan to bring one of these interestingly named skincare home. But considering the fact that my skin condition is getting from bad to worst, I better don’t try to be funny. Haiz… Talking about skin, my skin is at its worst condition now. But I refuse to go and seek a dermatologist. Its expensive. Well, my skin is seriously bothering me but then I guess I cannot spend money on myself anymore. Reason being tuition fee loan and pc loan is here. I am digging my reserves to repay a lump sum of 2.2k for the pc loan and starting my tuition fee loan repayment on Jan next year. This is the first time I feel that my finances are so tight. Previously, I only experience tight spending account crisis and stole a bit from my savings account to survive. Now I really must cease all stealing from my savings account and rely solely on my spending account to survive. Finances are tight but I will survive. Money can be earned. I jus got to work harder for cash. I have been projecting my finances for the year 2010 and I decided to repay $500 per month for my tuition fee loan. I need cash… So if anyone of you all got lobangs to earn cash just tell me… haha…

I went shopping for my convo ball attire today. I am going simple for this event. Minimalism is my style for this ball. Haha... Simplicity is beauty. I don't think I need a blazer. I am wearing a plain white shirt from POA, blue nautica inspired skinny tie from AX, fitted grey straight cut pants from some cheapo store in bugis, white slim belt from VOL.TA and white patent leather shoes from Zara. Its the Chill Out celebration with NBS Class of 2009 at Timbre Old School tonight!!! But... ... I didn't go despite concientious efforts from different groups of NBS pals persuaded me to go. I am sorry guys... I really didn't feel like going. Reasons that I didn't want to turn up for such a great event are:

1. I was too tired (Main reason).
2. Without concession, travelling expenses have increased and going for the event will result in more travelling expenses incurred.
3. There were cock up in my salary payout which annoyed me as well as made me so broke that I didn't want to continue spending.
4. Wearing contact lens from 6.30am till 11pm and beyond is bad for my eyes.
5. I hate going to Timbre Old School because you have to scale the flight of staircase which has ten thousand steps to reach the tip of Mount Sophia where Old School is situated.

So ya... I should meet you all at the convocation ball on 25th or for those who are not attending the ball, we meet on the actual day of convocation. If all else fails, we can always meet up at our own time ya! =] I know you all miss me. I will make an effort to meet you guys soon. Cheers. =]

I folded a paper aeroplane with a pamplet that was given out at tanah merah mrt station this afternoon. How nice if problems can fly away with the paper areoplane just like that. How nice if I can forget myself, forget sadness, forget everything and start over. The truth is I can't... A lax of control for my emotions lead to irrevocable damage time and again. Can I start over? Do I still have a chance? I certainly hope so. No longer will tears grant me another chance to start over again. No amount of sadness can help redeem myself. Its all my fault. I am not even fit to apologize. I already lost the right to do anything to slavage the situation...

There is somewhere I wish to go now... I haven't felt like going there for a long time... Is my time up? I guess its time life goes back to normal for me. Its all a beautiful dream. In this beautiful dream, I experienced happiness that I never did experienced before. In this beautiful dream, I got what I thought I would never ever get in my entire life. I don't want to wake up from this beautiful dream yet I shattered it myself, I turned it into a nightmare myself. I took happiness for granted so now life will go back to normal because I never cherished my chance to stay happy in this beautiful dream.

Am I ready to wake up and get back to my normal life? I am not ready, but I guess I have got to face it. Unless, there is a miracle which I don't even dare to pray for.

Tingling breeze, sparse crowds, clear blue skies, sparkling water, will be a nice sight that I will enjoy from time to time soon....

I was watching the Ultimatum on Channel 8 at 9pm. I like to watch the show because of the theme song - 寂寞光年 by 刘力扬. The lyrics does describe the kind of feeling I once had many years ago, some time ago and maybe even now I experience the kind of feeling described in this song. I can feel the song... I used to like songs because of their melody only. But nowadays, somehow I like songs because I listen to the lyrics, the 口气 (the way the singer expresses the lyrics) and the kind of feeling that is to be portrayed by the song. I guess that is "the feel" that chinese pop is always talking about. Behind every song there is a feeling to be instilled in the listener, behind every singer there is a story to tell. That is why the same song can sound different when sang by different singers because they are now telling their story to portray the feeling that is to be portrayed by the song. Haha... Its a friday... Yays... Finally I am at home. Haha... Haven't spent time at home like that for a long time. Haha... I am not feeling very well today. Today half way through work, I saw stars. Haha... Today, I was reading "My Paper" and they featured a thumbdrive that is in a robot shape. Haha... Its damn cute... Its retailing at $58 in a shop called Trolley located at 20 Amoy Street.

Omg... I was reading reviews for LG Arena and I came across the LG Viewty Smart. Cools... Its an upgraded version of the LG Viewty I am using now. Watch the promo video! Hope it comes to SG soon. Its damn chio. But if I got the budget for a new phone, I will still get LG Arena like NOW! Hahaha... Okie the video...

Actually it has the same 3D S-Class interface as LG Arena just that it has a 8 megapixel camera. Cools... Hahha... Okie... We should take a look at LG Arena's promo clip too. =]

Of course, my friends will advise me to wait for the LG Viewty Smart to come to SG as it is definitely more classy than the Arena. I also saw Be@rbrick Pepsi Nex Star Wars at the toy shop in Wheelock Place. Haha... Its so nice! I like the C-3PO one! Haha... It will go well with LG Arena. Hahaha... I also like the R2D2, clone troopers, stormtropper and darth vader ones too but I didn't find some in the shop that day. =/

I was surfing the net and I saw the burberry leather triple wrap watch. I think its nice. Its a watch that double up as an accessory. =] See... So nice. Its simple yet sophisticated. I like such things.

This watch will be on my wishlist from now on. Hahahahaha... I like watches... I like to buy cheap watches that look nice from bugis... but deep down I want nice branded watches, one for casual, one for formal. This one makes a perfect casual watch. =]

Work has been fun so far though there are tons to be done. Haha... I have been tasked to complete a project within two weeks. Erms the first week that just passed is counted in the two weeks. Jokes. I just started on the project ytd afternoon because I only got the full set of data yesterday. haha... I wonder if I can meet the deadline. hahaha... Ytd Lai Soon was saying that Helen said "Zhanyi is a smart boy, he can complete doing the customer list in two weeks so that he can start working on the vendors." haha... Well while its nice to hear that people have such confidence in my competency, it's great expectations that results in a teeny bit of stress in the event I fail to deliver what I am expected of. Haha... Nobody thinks I can complete the project by next week. Haha... Its just too much to be done. Well, I will try my best. Haha...

Went to Anthony Hair Boutique for a haircut on Thursday. Wow... I must say their service was exceptionally good. The entry level stylist are already like so bloody professional that they beat those leading and senior stylist in Kimage and Chapter 2. First, when you enter you get a drink and a warm towel. Second, the stylist REALLY listen to you and after that they give their professional comment. Third, they really cut carefully. Last, they speak good english. I always think that to provide service in english you jolly well speak good english because to me broken english lower the service standards. Do you all feel irritated when sales person serve you in broken english? I do and I hate it when people try too hard to do things that they can't do. If you can't speak english, speak to me in chinese lahz. I am chinese you are chinese... speak chinese lorz... At least it doesn't irritate. Haha...

Went out to party until quite late ytd. haha... had plenty of fun. =]

Its saturday today. Yawnz. I am bored. I am actually thinking of my work but I refuse to bring them back to do as I thought if I want to do it at home and get unpaid I might as well stay in the office for longer hours to do and get paid. haha... There are actually lots of other things on my mind now other than work. But well as they say don't think too much. I am backs from the Mother's Day dinner at Imperial Treasure. Service was exceptionally good. Food was delicious. Menu was good too. There were Peking duck, shark's fin, abalone, scallop with celery, lobster, soon hock fish in rice wine, bee hoon and almond longan. =] Yummy! I love this meal alot.

Tomorrow is my first day at work in my intership company. Its a temp position for me to like earn some money during my free tie before I start my full time job. =] Really thank all those in my internship company who give me this opportunity. Pay is acceptable considering sch bad times. =]

Yays... Exams are finally over! Woohoo~ Anyways, the exam today is like freaking easy. I left after 1 hr 30 minutes. Repeated long questions from past year paper and repated mcqs from everywhere. Today is the funeral for my Grandma (Chu Bin). I found some potential actors who should audition to be MediaCorp actors and actresses today. Seriously, people can see that YOU ARE ACTING! A course in school called "Emotions in Everyday Life" taught me how to differentiate the real crying and the fake crying. So... Oh please... Quit being pretentious. When you cry without using certain muscle group on your face, you are acting. There are tears but the tears are not triggered because of your emotions.

Well, its not how loud you cry that defines your filial piety to Grandma. Its inside the heart. The more you cry the more I think you regret because you failed to be filial when Grandma was still around. When filial piety is deeply etched in your heart, you cry with your heart for the demise of your beloved Grandma and not just by superficial tears. Oh wells, I guess some people are just hopeless and they do not deserve my respect at all.

So ya... That marks the end of all connections with the relatives. I doubt they will contact my family anymore unless suddenly we have 1000000000000000 billion dollars pasted all over our body. Although, this is not possible, I definitely think that after I enter the workforce I am capable of making my family 10 times more well to do than theirs. Well, not that I care whether they contact me or not. I too do not want to contact bad people like them. Boo~ End of story.

I havn't updated my blog for a while because I have been attending my Grandma's (Wai Po) wake since Sunday. Tml is the last night of the wake.

These few days really opened my eyes to the ugliness of mankind. OMG... Really. Some relatives are "-____- I don't want to say what happened because many things happened and well, I am like lost for words to describe how terrible and bad people can become especially with issues concerning money. Sometimes I wonder what are these people thinking. I don't even want to address them as my relatives. Well, let's not comment much about these people because I just feel tired and sad to see that such people actually exist. I pity my mum who has been putting up with their nonsense for many years as their sister. I pity myself for having cousins who are like not there yet but tries hard to be there and end up looking like jokers.

Having said that, its not that all my relatives are bad. There are a couple of really nice and sincere ones whose efforts are commendable.

Although I am sad, life still got to go on. I am alright and growing stronger.

Suffering from post bad haircut mood, I decided to indulge in a little retail therapy after giving tuition this afternoon. I walked around town while waiting for my friend to come and watch Confessions of a Shopaholic with me later in the evening.

Hmmmzz... I found a nice windbreaker in Revoltage. It was on 30% discount. So I just grabbed it. Damage = $62.90. =/ I am seriously a shopaholic. Bad bad bad... Luckily I am not like Rebecca in Confessions of a Shopaholic who owes lots of credit card bills. Haha...

Anyways, Confessions of a Shopaholic is a VERY GOOD SHOW! I love it. Its very funny. And there are a few touching scenes. I feel that~ Everyone should go and watch it. Now I understand why many people like to read the novel. I have to admit that some parts of the show is really very real. Especially the first part when Rebecca bought the green scarf. I mean sometimes, when I see things that I like, I experience the same thing as Rebecca did! Haha... Yeah...

Oh yeah... I can't wait for Tampines One to open! I am so excited. New labels are coming to Singapore and Tampines One is the first shopping malls with these new brands. First is Japan's No. 1 Casual Wear Brand - UNILQO. Second is UK brand - H&M. Opening in 7 days. April 9!!! Can't wait... =]

I miss my hair... Sianz... Today I went to cut my hair because it was getting thick. But the stylist didn't get my instructions clear. He destroyed my fringe by layering it. I hate layered fringe. I miss my thick fringe. He proceeded to cut my sides and my top until very short. I said trim! Now its super short. I look kuku. =[ I am looking ugly now. So ugly. =[ Sads. Hate to look ugly... But well... short hair is definitely cooler. But, I rather longer hair and feel very hot. Haha... Haiz... Sucks. No confidence. No castings. No jobs. No money. Hahahahaha... Okie... I just came back from tuition. Haha.. Its a bloody hot weather and it makes my blood boil when my tuition kid gave me nonesense such as spelling "went" as "when"! Omg. This is the thousandth time I tell him "went" is the past tense of "go". Threw books in his face, gave him a good scolding and pretended nothing happened and continued with the lesson. Haha... I am a lousy tutor. Who cares? Its the money I want.

Talking about money, yesterday I was chatting with Linda and she told me "No money, no honey." I think this is so true. Haha... Money is very important in life. Although, we have to recognise that there are many other things that are equally important in life like love, kinship, friendship, we cannot deny that money is not important. When your parents know that you earn 3000 a month and you only give them 500 a month, they grumble that you are not as filial as Ah Kow's son who gave his parents 1000 a month when his monthly income is also 3000. I know this is a lousy example, but at times, money hurts kinship in a way. When you have no money you lose more than you gain. Its reality. I know its abit extreme to think like that but if you think harder and you have seen how money tear families and relatives apart, you will know what I mean.

Having said that, although money is important it is also not something that can keep a person going. Friendship is important to everyone. Friends give you support, care and concern. They keep you going. They motivate and influence you to take another step forward. But friends won't stay if you do not spend effort maintaining a friendship. When you don't even bother about that person, don't even talk to him/her, don't even bother to catch up once in a while, sooner or later he/she leaves you. So don't complain you have no friends when you don't bother about them in the first place. On the other hand, some people try too hard. They try to be friends with people who do not want to be friends with them. It takes 2 hands to clap. So don't be silly, if that person doesn't want to be friends with you, he/she will not be friends with you. Possible reasons are different interests, different train of thoughts or simply cannot click. Don't try too hard. Move on. I am sure we can all find friends who really care about us. Although most of the time we meet the so called "friends" who really do not bother about us unless they need our help, but there are true friends that will keep us going. Just put in the effort and you will have more true friends who help you even when you are not in need and give you more than what you expect when you are in need of them. =]
